HIGH SCHOOL CHOICE

Dragon

St. George MSU is committed to offering options for high school education so that resident high school students will be able to choose the educational program that best meets their needs. Currently, St. George students attend high school at Oceanside High School in Rockland, Medomak Valley High School in Waldoboro, Camden Hills Regional High School in Rockport,  and Lincoln Academy in Damariscotta.

In 8th grade, students explore high school options in depth beginning with the High School Choice Open House Night in September. The Open House Night is the first part of our High School Choice Program and involves presentations by area high schools. Later in the Fall, 8th grade students spend a week at Camp Kieve focusing on, among other things, decision-making, supporting classmates and friends, and perseverance. In the late fall and early winter, 8th Graders and Families have the opportunity to visit and tour area high schools as well as the Mid- Coast School of Technology.  The High School Transition Coordinator and Middle Level Staff work closely with students and families to help them choose the high school that is the best fit.

All 8th grade students (as well as rising 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students who are St. George residents) must submit a High School Choice Form by January 31. High School Choice Forms are available below.
