Anticipated Opening: Early Elementary Response to Intervention (RTI) / Special Education Teacher

St. George School is a community-centered K-8 public school located in picturesque Midcoast Maine. We are committed to academic excellence, community engagement, Expeditionary Learning (EL), and teachers working in teams to innovate, educate, and develop as professionals.

We are looking for an educator to support our early elementary RTI and special education programs. This person will work closely with our Title One and Special Education teachers to (1) assist teachers in developing Tier 1 interventions, (2) deliver Tier 2 interventions, and (3) provide special education services for early elementary students.

The RTI/ Special Education Teacher will be a member of the Special Services Team that is composed of the Special Ed. Director/504 Coordinator, Special Education Administrative Assistant, Title One Teacher, Special Education Teacher, Speech/Language Specialist, School Nurse, and Social Worker. We need an innovative educator who can collaborate closely with classroom teachers, understands how to use data to inform instruction, can deliver individualized instruction to students, and excels at communicating with students, families, and staff.
