The First Americans: Exploring American Indian Culture – Adam Bullard (5th Grade)
Building awareness of Native American tribes through a guest speaker visit and a trip to Indian Island School for a cultural exchange.
Maine ABC Book – Jaime MacCaffray (4th Grade)
Engaging students with expeditions to the Damariscotta River Association, Maine State Museum, State House, Norlands Living History Center, and Herring Gut Learning Center and completing an ABC book about the State of Maine.
Let’s Get Cooking! – Meghan Smith (2nd Grade)
Engaging students with cooking through cooking classes at the FARMS Community Kitchen and a visit to a Rockland Farmers Market to learn about food grown and sold in our community.
Bus Buddy – Pam Vasso (K-5th Grade)
Providing safe and fun activities for the bus ride home while promoting trust, responsibility, and mentoring between older and younger students.
